Buildings are responsible for up to 36% of the pollution in our cities, compared to 13% that comes from car emissions, and they consume around 40% of primary energy. Energy efficiency is part of the essence of the Passive House concept, developed in the 1980’s in Germany in order to build houses with minimum energy consumption, and if at all possible, null consumption. Bright is proud to have developed Marbella’s first Passive House and hopes that others will follow the initiative.
WHAT IS A PASSIVE HOUSE?
A Passive House is a highly energy efficient building, which requires minimal energy to maintain a comfortable interior temperature. Thanks to the quality insulation and an efficient ventilation system, Passive House buildings remain warm on cold days and cool on warmer days.
