Keep it Bright!

BRIGHT.

Looking for some modern tunes to brighten up your perfect day in the sunshine? Marbella radio presenter Giles Brown shares the songs that are on heavy repeat on his playlist.

Bright Playlist Nº1 September, 2019

Cleo Sol – Why Don’t You

West London’s finest, Cleo Sol, has been knocking on the door with her soulful, sultry and heartfelt lyrics and her single “Why Don’t You” has brought her wider critical acclaim. And as she says in this, her first release in five years, “…I know it’s never the right time, but we got to do things on our time”

Samm Henshaw – Church

A track that grabs you from the first notes and hand claps, rising UK singer Samm Henshaw teamed up with Atlanta’s Earthgang for the ridiculously infectious “Church”. Samm commented, “‘Church’ is basically about the struggle between me and my parents when I was a teenager. I love my sleep so them attempting to wake me up to go church on a Sunday morning was a constant battle!'”

Sunni Colon – Morning Dew

Smooth, sexy and oh so subtle, Sunni Colon brings a slice of California sunshine to the Bright playlist. “Morning Dew” is the kind of song that sounds just as good with the top down on your convertible as it does when you snuggle up to that special someone as the light falls across the bed and you debate whether you really, really have to get up just yet…

Jorja Smith – Be Honest (feat. Burna Boy)

If there is any justice in the world, Jorja Smith should be a huge star on the back of this single alone. Her debut album, “Lost & Found” reached number three in the British charts and she walked off with Best Female Solo Artist at this year’s Brit Awards. Currently touring the US, Jorja’s live performances are earning rave reviews. Absolutely one to watch!

Maverick Sabre & Chronixx – Her Grace

Born in the UK, raised in Ireland, Maverick Sabre has been releasing standout tracks for nearly a decade. His latest album, “When I Wake Up”, sees collaborations with artists such as Jorja Smith and Jamaican singer Chronixx, and you can catch him live in Madrid and Barcelona in December!
